About the Pastor
Donald Austin Hill was born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois. After serving in and receiving an honorable discharge from the United States Army, he married Pamela Grammer from Franklin County, Illinois where they settled and raised their family. They have five children and 11 grandchildren. While visiting Briarcliff Pentecostal Church in June 1976, God miraculously filled Brother Hill with the Holy Ghost. he was baptized that same night in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Thirty-seven years later, the Lord led him back to Briarcliff. He received 100% of the vote for Pastor while sitting in the exact location he has received the Holy Ghost all those years earlier. God has a plan!

History
On March 30, 1966, Pastor Ross Smith and the Board members of Briarcliff Pentecostal Church, along with the mayor of Granite City, took part in a ceremony to officially begin construction here at 1120 West Pontoon Road. This building was completed in 1967. The original site of the Church was located at 25th and Dewy. Founded upon the Rock, Jesus Christ, and the Apostles Doctrine, this soul saving station has given birth to many souls for the kingdom of our Lord and Savior, including Pastor Kenneth Reeves who was baptized by Brother Smith.
